The next live Zeiss Conversation is with esteemed director of photography, Adolpho Veloso ABC. Zeiss celebrate his achievements and artistic journey in this interactive, virtual event. Learning experiences from his early days growing up in São Paulo, Brazil will be discussed, where Veloso started as a production assistant, to shooting shorts and music videos while studying film at São Paulo’s Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado. Now, Veloso’s work is demanded and recognised globally.
Veloso’s recent award-winning films such as, Mosquito, Jockey, and more will be discussed. Jockey was just nominated for an ASC Spotlight Award and was previously nominated for Best Male Lead & the John Cassavetes Award at the Independent Spirit Awards (2022). Jockey was an official selection in both Sundance Film Festival (2021) and Toronto Film Festival (2021).
