UK Screen Alliance has launched INsight ’26: The Post-Production and VFX Business Conference: a one-day event bringing together senior leaders from across the post-production and VFX sectors to examine the forces shaping the industry – and what they mean for the future.
Taking place on Thursday 8th October 2026 at the Courthouse Hotel, Soho, London, INsight ’26 will focus on business strategy and data-driven intelligence at a time of rapid change. With production patterns shifting, workforce models evolving and AI transforming creative and technical workflows, the conference is designed to give business leaders the information they need to remain competitive, resilient, and ready for growth.
Unlike technology-focused conferences, INsight ’26 will look beyond the latest tools and developments to examine the underlying business realities of the sector, including new research into production activity, VFX spend, workforce trends, business performance and the wider screen sector landscape.

The programme will feature a series of expert-led sessions, including “Finding the Growth: What is the data telling us?”, which will premiere new UK Screen Alliance-commissioned data on the impact of the VFX tax credit uplift, current UK VFX spend, growth and GVA, alongside analysing World VFX Atlas data on global workforce trends.
Other sessions will tackle some of the most pressing issues facing the industry, including “Recognising the Value of Post”, examining how post-production companies can rethink their bids to reflect the creative and production value they bring to projects; “Integrating AI: Practicality over hype”, exploring where AI is genuinely delivering time and cost savings today; “Fix it or Risk it! Content Security in the Age of AI”, looking at emerging cyber threats and content security; and “How Green is Your Facility?”, addressing the specific sustainability challenges of post-production facilities.
UK Screen Alliance has assembled a cast of industry thought leading experts including Chuck Parker, CEO of Sohonet; Terri Davies, President of the Trusted Partner Network (TPN); Joseph Bell, author of the World VFX Atlas; Charly Conquest, Responsible Productions Lead at Sky Entertainment Group; Saint John Walker, Programme leader of postgraduate media at the University of Hertfordshire; Gareth Kirkman, UK Business and Industry Development Manager at the British Film Commission; Dan Marbrook, Chief Commercial Officer and Director of Production at The Look; Hayley Miller, Founder of World VFX Day; Andy McNamara, Generative AI Lead at Cinesite; Alethea Lindsay, Sustainability Consultant at Cut the Carbon; Steve MacPherson, Chief Technology Officer at Milk Visual Effects; Thom Berryman, Managing Director Feature & Episodic UK at Harbor Picture Company; and Matt Town, Head of Post Production UK at Netflix.
Together, the speakers bring senior international perspectives spanning technology, security, VFX business intelligence and the future of media production. Further speakers and the full conference programme will be announced this week.

INsight’26 will not pull its punches as it analyses the many factors impacting VFX and post companies today.”
