This SOC hands-on workshop is designed for camera operators of all levels who are interested in developing valuable, practical knowledge to refine their camera operating skills. Being well versed with the wheels is a plus. Learn how to work with the gear, what gear to use for what shot, the creative choices of setting up a shot using a crane and dolly, as well as best practices for running a set and communication between the operator, director, dolly grip and pickle operator.

Female identifying and non-binary operators with varying technical skills and from unique segments of production, will discuss building a career, life choices, family and life balance. After the panel, there will be Q&A. The panel will feature operators in Television and Film, with skills including Steadicam, PedCam, Handheld, Dolly and Crane, working in multiple genres, including Single Camera, Multicam Sitcom, Documentary, Unscripted, Multicam Reality Competition and Live Stage Events. This candid and collaborative session is welcoming to all and will be presented with an inclusive and supportive context and is a companion session to the Women Camera Operating Hands-On Workshop.
