‘Past Lives’ wins Best Feature at Gotham Awards

Past Lives  DP Shabier Kirchner) was the big winner at the Gotham Awards winning the top prize for best feature. Meanwhile, acting honours were won by Charles Melton for his supporting performance in May December and Lily Gladstone for her lead performance in The Unknown Country.

Writer-director Celine Song commented:

“Thank you, Gotham, for this award. It’s such an honour. It really means the world to receive it with my debut set in New York City, a city I live in and love deeply,” Song thanked her producers at A24, along with her cast and crew. She was joined on stage by two of the film’s stars, Greta Lee and John Magaro.

Anatomy Of A Fall

Director Andrew Haigh’s metaphysical gay romance All Of Us Strangers was the leader of the Gothams field heading into the ceremony, scoring four nominations across all categories. Celine Song’s Past Lives and A.V. Rockwell’s A Thousand And One followed with three nominations each. Both dramas were nominated for best feature, along with Showing Up, Passages and Reality. joining All Of Us Strangers in best international feature, the nominees were Anatomy Of A Fall, Poor Things, Tótem and The Zone Of Interest.
