The Evoke 150C is a compact and lightweight 150W full-colour light designed for on- the-go lighting and flexible setups. The compact all-in-one fixture is equipped with Nanlux’s new Nebula C8 Light Engine, which delivers class-leading wide colour temperature range, broad colour gamut coverage, excellent light quality, and precise dimming performance. It is a multi-purpose light that can run off AC, V-mount batteries, or USB-PD power. It can be easily hidden in tight spaces and concealed behind props.
Using the light, filmmakers can effortlessly handle tasks like detail accent lighting and moving fill lighting. The Evoke 150C has robust yet lightweight metal construction and is IP66-rated for use in harsh conditions. It uses the new FE mount, which has automated modifier recognition and control with appropriate attachments, and is also compatible with the existing FM mount accessory ecosystem.
Building on Nanlux design excellence, the Evoke 150C ensures smooth, worry-free operation for enhanced creativity. Compact & Lightweight, Superior Output Lighting on-location is challenging. Conventional large, heavy fixtures are difficult to position and move around in smaller spaces. The Evoke 150C solves this: weighing only 2.65 kg/5.84 lb (lamp head with yoke) and measuring just 209×147×127 mm/8.2×5.8×5.0”, yet delivering an impressive output of 22,230 lux at 1 m (5600K, with 45° reflector) and 10,200 lux at 1 m (green, with 45° reflector). It does all this
with just a 150W power draw. This makes it equally capable of being used as a fill light for large scenes, or as a key or rim light in confined spaces. Light Quality Redefined Powered by the advanced Nebula C8 Light Engine, the Evoke 150C delivers exceptional light quality in both white and coloured light. Its eight colours (Deep Red, Red, Amber, Lime, Green, Cyan, Blue, Indigo), combined with an advanced mixing algorithm, enable an ultra-wide CCT range from 1,000K to 20,000K – the widest range currently available.
It also adds a massive ±200 Green/Magenta adjustment, broader colour gamut coverage, and higher saturation for rich, expressive colours. Compared to conventional colour engines, the Nebula C8 achieves superior fidelity and
skin tone accuracy in white light, giving images natural vibrancy and true-to-life texture. It delivers professional performance, with average scores of CRI 96, TLCI 97, TM-30 Rf 96, and TM-30 Rg 100.
The Evoke 150C offers six built-in lighting modes including CCT, HSI, RGBW, XY Coordinates, Gel, and Effect modes. The Evoke 150C also has a fully linear dimming system that supports adjustments in 0.1% increments, ensuring smooth performance at low brightness and natural fade-ins and fade-outs. Nanlux designs the Evoke 150C to be quick and easy to set up and use. Efficiency is built into every aspect of design, from structure and materials to the interface and accessory ecosystem. The fixture combines the lamp head, control unit, and power supply into a single compact body, requiring only a power cable or a V-mount battery
via D-Tap for operation. The Evoke 150C is more compact than most comparable lights, using lightweight magnesium alloy with an optimised internal structure. The IP66 rating ensures reliable performance against dust, sand, heavy rain, and other extreme conditions.
Advanced FE Mount for Modifier Control
The Evoke 150C uses the FE mount with electronic contacts to attach modifiers, including the new motorised yoke and Fresnel lens (FL-12E) options, providing precise remote control for fixtures mounted high up or in hard-to-reach locations. The Evoke 150C also remains compatible with the FM mount ecosystem, allowing users to utilise their existing accessories. For fixed mounting, the kit includes a 5/8″ Baby Pin with Quick Release Plate (AS-BP-QRS), which attaches directly to the fixture’s quick-release base, enabling fast and versatile setup anywhere on set.
Comprehensive Connection and Control
Even though it’s compact, the Evoke 150C has a full range of connection options. An port enables connectivity with control devices, signal routing, and motorised accessories, offering the same advanced control capabilities as the wider Evoke series. Power options are equally flexible, with an integrated AC/DC input supporting direct
connection to wall outlets (AC 100–240V) or batteries (DC 14.4–28V), while the USB- C port supports PD3.0 input (12–28V, 60W min) for use with adapters or power banks.
For mobility, the V-mount battery holder allows attaching a V-mount battery to the yoke. The FE mount incorporates the unique Nanlux PosiTight system that ensures a secure dual-safety connection between fixture and accessory. The side of the Evoke 150C has a new tilt-locking mechanism with angle indicator to simplify repeat alignment. The clever offset design of the mechanism expands tilt range for large modifiers. There are three 1/4″-20 anti-twist threads on both sides and the top, providing flexible mounting for controllers, adapters, or added safety when rigging. The Evoke 150C control interface shares the same intuitive logic as other Evoke fixtures. It has a 2.0-inch display, two adjustment knobs, and three mode buttons. It supports versatile control options including the Nanlink App 2.0, DMX/RDM, LumenRadio CRMX, Art-Net/sACN, remote controller, or wired controller. A built-in NFC tag allows it to instantly pair with an NFC-enabled phone or tablet running the App.
Reliable Cooling System
The Evoke 150C is equipped with an efficient cooling system featuring five built-in fan modes. In Smart mode, the average noise level is only 24 dB(A). Even during prolonged operation at full power, the fixture remains whisper-quiet.
