Previs Pro’s latest feature release introduces ‘Light Grading’–a powerful tool for high-level visual storytelling and previsualisation. Aimed at filmmakers, directors, and producers alike, the update enables users to apply cinematic lighting presets to their scenes in seconds, elevating the look and feel of storyboards at the concept stage.
The feature includes a library of classic lighting scenarios (such as Golden Hour, Moonlit Night, Window Sunlight), with over a dozen presets available at launch. Each preset can be customised or replaced entirely via Previs Pro’s in-built generative AI prompt, offering maximum flexibility and creative control.
Light Grading helps relay narrative tone visually and makes it possible to simulate lighting conditions that are otherwise impractical to previs. The update reflects Previs Pro’s ongoing commitment to evolving its tech stack in line with the growing needs of the production industry. As with all major updates, Light Grading will continue to be optimised as the tool develops, ensuring it remains a powerful asset for next-gen storytelling.
