Portable power supply company Instagrid has announced a new product: Instagrid LINK MAX. Harnessing the power of Instagrid’s flagship portable power supply Instagrid ONE, Instagrid LINK MAX connects three Instagrid ONE units together to create a 400 V, three-phase power output.
Applications in construction are powering demanding devices such as arc welders, diamond core drills or table saws, and various high frequency tools such as concrete chain saws or ring saws. In the events and entertainment industry, the Instagrid LINK MAX solution enables professionals to operate large chain hoists for rapid stage and set assembly, increasing their productivity and efficiency.
The product is being showcased at the world’s largest construction trade fair bauma in Munich from 7 to 13 April (at booths A1.439 at A23.38) and the entertainment technology trade fair Prolight + Sound (at booth B67 in hall 12.1) from 8 to 11 April. Visitors can experience the product in action in live demos and preorder it. Units will start shipping to customers in Q2 2025.
Triple the power
Following Instagrid’s modular concept, Instagrid LINK MAX connects three Instagrid ONE units together, combining the single-phase output of each Instagrid ONE unit into a three-phase output with the following specifications:

Instagrid LINK MAX is similar in its modular setup to Instagrid LINK, which was released mid-2024 – with one major difference: Whereas Instagrid LINK triples total energy capacity, Instagrid LINK MAX additionally triples the power output.
Instagrid LINK MAX: the world’s most portable 400 V power solution
The well-established Instagrid hallmarks of portability, modularity, and cost-efficiency also define Instagrid LINK MAX.
With a total weight of 65 kg, the modular 400 V Instagrid LINK MAX solution is significantly lighter than 400 V combustion generators and other battery-based 400 V power stations.
The heaviest individual part of the LINK MAX solution weighs only 20 kg – and the lightest 5 kg, allowing for flexibility like never before. A single worker can carry the parts by hand to the jobsite and assemble them quickly by simply connecting the cables. No additional transport machinery is needed.

Instagrid customers benefit from significant cost savings with Instagrid LINK MAX compared to a conventional 12 kVA generator: Thanks to no regular maintenance costs and low energy costs, the break-even point for the user is within approximately six months. Over a four-year period, users can expect cost savings of up to 66% compared to a conventional 12 kVA generator.
