Firmware update – CreamOS 2.5 for the Vortex series

May 4, 2023

Creamsource has announced the release of CreamOS 2.5, the latest firmware update for our flagship Vortex series lights. Our team has been working tirelessly to bring you new and exciting features that will take your lighting game to the next level. With CreamOS 2.5, we are bringing you an enhanced user experience with the following key features:

  • Multi-lingual Support: We understand that our customers come from all over the world and speak different languages. That’s why we have added support for eight new languages, including Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, and French.
  • Reduced Zone Mode: With this new feature, you can now operate your Vortex8 in two or four zones, giving you more control and flexibility in your lighting setups.
  • CRMX² Full Support: We have fully integrated LumenRadio’s Stardust with the Vortex series, allowing you to choose which of the eight outputs to receive (A-H), or enter a linking key for manual linking.Control Channel: This new feature allows you to change settings such as high-speed mode or dimming curve without RDM or accessing the fixture, making it easier and faster to make adjustments on the fly.
  • CRMX Transmitter Mode: Now you can use your Vortex to transmit CRMX from incoming Bluetooth or DMX signal, giving you even more control over your lighting.

We have also included bug fixes to ensure that your Vortex series lights are running smoothly and efficiently.
We are confident that CreamOS 2.5 will enhance your lighting experience and we look forward to hearing your feedback. You can download the firmware update here.
