A string of television shows that contributed to the High-end TV Skills Fund have been nominated for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards, receiving nods across a range of craft categories.
With 20 nominations, football themed comedy Ted Lasso is one of the leading contenders of the 74th edition of the award show. It goes head-to-head with fellow fund contributor Atlanta in the best directing for a comedy and best actor in a comedy categories. Donald Glover’s singular comedy is also nominated in the best cinematography category.
The final series of Killing Eve has received two nominations, with nods for both Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh in the lead actress category.
Netflix’s fantasy drama The Witcher has been nominated for awards in the stunt coordination, costume and visual effects categories while A Very British Scandal has received a nomination for music composition.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on 12 September.
