At the same time as a landmark 2,500 people declare their public support for Marlow Film Studios, the Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the creative economy announcing plans to grow the UK’s creative industries by £50bn and increase jobs in the sector by 50% by 2030.
Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer credited “the imagination and ingenuity of British designers, producers, content creators, writers and artists” with “spearheading growth right across our economy”, while Prime Minister Rishi Sunak described the industry as “a true British success story”.
The team at Marlow Film Studios wholeheartedly welcome this investment and hope our plans will be approved later this year in order to build upon our creative economy, allowing it to thrive in Buckinghamshire for generations to come.
