US value-added distributor Broadfield Distributing came to IBC2026 to show new products to its dealers. Speaking to Mike Valinsky from The Making Of, Vice president Jim Bask says cinema-quality images have moved from a luxury to an expectation, even in robotic camera setups.
Speaking at the Cinematography World pavilion, Basque said it was his first time at IBC and in Amsterdam. He explained why the trip mattered: “The industry is healthiest when products are announced at IBC and they ship at NAB, or they’re announced at NAB and they ship at IBC. It’s the perfect calendar schedule.”
