With the pandemic negatively impacting live industry events over the last couple of years, newly launched event Cine Fest West will celebrate the art and craft of Cinematography, and will be a welcome annual addition to the global calendar of events.
This inaugural and very special 1½ day celebration of the industry takes place in Santa Monica, California, from 16th – 17th September, 2022 and offers moving image professionals an opportunity to connect in a professional yet relaxed environment.
The concept behind Cine Fest West is to bring a festival feel back to an LA event, located outdoors in Santa Monica over a Friday evening and Saturday. It’s intended to be a family style event.
Organizers of Cine Fest West stated that the Friday evening will be an opportunity for industry professionals to gather and will be more of a VIP opening and then during the day on Saturday they want to encourage those same professionals and the entire West Coast industry to come along with the family and enjoy a day together. Absolutely everyone is welcome and with how busy the industry and everyone is at present they hope it will be an opportunity to relax and catch up with friends old and new.
Those attending Cine Fest West will have an opportunity to engage in roundtable and panel discussions, enjoy product demos, see some of the latest technology first hand and network with colleagues. There will be some entertainment to keep the kids amused and plenty of hospitality supplied by the founding supporters and sponsors of Cine Fest West including a range of food options all located in an open-air setting.
Attendance will be free for both the Friday & Saturday although pre-registration is encouraged and is quick to do via the Cine Fest West website.
