Chryssanthi Kouri’s and Clare Macdonald’s shorts accepted to this years Fragment film festival

Big congratulations to Cinesisters Chryssanthi Kouri and Clare Macdonald who’s shorts were accepted to this years Fragment film festival.

With it’s 2023 edition opening with a special preview of Ken Loach’s The Old Oak, followed by a post-screening Q&A with lead actor Dave Turner, Chryssanthi’s Dustlight and Clare’s The Mountain was screened on Saturday and at the Genesis cinema.

Under pressure from work, and at an impasse in life, Matina returns to her family home where she is confronted with the grief she sought to repress. This delicately and minimally rendered film serves as a lyrical reflection on loss and homecoming.

The Mountain
Clare Macdonald, 15′, UK, English with subtitles
Doctors’ appointments, bus trips and buying milk are an uphill battle for Matthew and his anxious inner monologue in this warm comedy about trying to get better.
