Christopher Nolan to receive a César d’Honneur

The French Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques and Canal+ are very pleased to announce that British-American director Christopher Nolan will receive a César d’Honneur at the 49th César Ceremony, on Friday 23 February, at the Olympia Hall in Paris.

The release of each of his films is a major event. Since his debut with Following, Christopher Nolan has an unwavering passion for and commitment to the theatrical filmgoing experience, continually shattering the limits of cinematic storytelling. His films, including Tenet, Dunkirk, Interstellar, Inception and the The Dark Knight trilogy, have won a multitude of awards around the world, including 11 Oscars. His latest masterpiece, Oppenheimer, a veritable worldwide phenomenon, has been acclaimed by critics and audiences alike for its revolutionary visual aesthetic.
